Sakai Gradebook

I need to set up my gradebook, but I don’t know if I should use weighted categories or points.

Grading with weighted categories is when there are multiple categories, and each of the categories carries a specific percentage of the total grade (exams = 25%, project = 30%, homework = 20%, participation = 25%).

Grading with points is when all coursework is worth a set number of points (1000), and each assignment is worth a portion (case study one = 25 points, midterm = 150 points, etc.).
