Canvas Timeline

The Sakai-to-Canvas transition will take place over the next 18 months in a phased approach according to the following timeline:

Phase 1: Spring 2022

• Small number of faculty/courses selected to participate; all others continue to  use Sakai  
  • Courses Using Canvas (note: as of 1/11/22).

Phase 2: Summer and Fall 2022

• Faculty teaching summer and fall courses invited to use Canvas or Sakai  

Phase 3: Spring 2023

• Last semester for faculty to use Sakai; all encouraged to use Canvas  

Phase 4: Summer 2023

•  Sakai LMS decommissioned.  All courses use Canvas
